Applied Alloys is the premium source in Australia for A537 Class 1 & 2 pressure vessel steel.  ASTM A537 / ASME SA537 plate material is heat-treated, carbon-manganese silicon steel. A537 Class 1 plate is normalized and Class 2 plate is quenched and tempered. A537 carbon steel plate offers greater tensile strength than ASTM A516A537 plate is commonly used in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industries.

Cut to size or shape required.  Also available to JIS, DIN, EN standards.

ASTM A537 Class 1

A537 Class 1 grade is normalized, heat treated, and displays greater yield and tensile strength than the more common ASTM A516 grades.  A537 Class 1 offers excellent notch toughness as required for pressure vessels, boilers, API 650, and API 620 storage tanks fabrication.

ASTM A537 Class 2

A537 Class 2 exhibits higher yield and tensile strength than Class 1. A537 Class 2 is a high strength quenched and tempered alloy steel with excellent cold forming characteristics and weldability. Commonly used in pressure vessels, boilers, API650, API620 storage tank fabrication.
