Quick Turnaround Manufacturing
Applied Alloys’ trepanning capabilities include deep hole drilling, large diameter boring, offset drilling, gun drilling and custom wall hollow bar. Our specialised trepanning lathes work all materials including Carbon Steel, Stainless, High Nickle Alloys, Titanium etc.
In addition we now stock a range of approved raw materials including A105, LF2, 253MA, 304SS, 315SS, 904L, F11, F12, F91, Duplex, Super Duplex, Titanium etc. If you have stock bar or a propriety item, we can also process it on our trepanning lathe.
Trepanning is a core drilling process that produces holes in round bar, billet and other unusual shapes. This fast, cost-effective process easily outperforms conventional drilling and boring, especially in large diameter holes where a large amount of material needs to be removed. The metal core can be extracted and reused saving costly material.
Custom Wall Hollow Bar
Trepanning offers the production of custom wall hollow bar to your specification from a diverse range of solid bar materials. Hard to find, heavy wall hollow bar in special alloy materials can be machined quickly with the trepanning process.
Large Diameter Boring
Large diameter boring or drilling in an extensive range of steels and special alloys including carbon steel, chrome moly, stainless steel, duplex, high nickle alloys and titanium.
Deep Hole Drilling
Deep hole drilling and boring is a fast and effective process to machine a central bore through a long solid bar. This method allows for shorter lengths or bespokes sizes not available as stock. Custom pieces can be supplied in a very short time frame.
