Bison Pipe-Clad
Bison Pipe-Clad applies a hard-facing weld overlay to the interior surface of the pipe. Chrome Carbide, Complex Chrome Carbide, or Tungsten Carbide products are commonly used in this process.
Bison Pipe-C
Bison Pipe-C is a single-wall abrasion-resistant steel piping system that is typically used in coal, cement, clinker, and similar type transfer lines. Sizes: 15NB – 150NB (0.5″ – 6″)

Thermally sprayed metal coatings are depositions of metal which has been melted immediately prior to projection onto the substrate. The metals used and the application systems used vary but most applications result in thin coatings applied to surfaces requiring improvement to their corrosion or abrasion resistance properties. Applications for thermally sprayed materials are many and varied and can be found in many industries today including the mining, refining, chemical and petro-chemical industries etc.
Abrasion
A wide range of products, including Tungsten Carbide, Chrome, Stellite, and other hard materials, can be used. Applications include pump parts, valves, piping, shafts, impellers, industrial fans, etc. Special materials that will handle corrosion and high temperature as well as erosion, are also available.
Corrosion
Stainless Steel, Copper, Zinc & Aluminium are just a few of the materials that can be used. Applications include tanks, vessels and other structures. Thermally Sprayed metal coatings have been used for a number of years and exposure tests have proved them to be superior to conventional paint coatings. Aluminium has been found to be the most effective metal for the protection of steel in offshore structures.
Applied Alloys’ wear-resistant product line includes Bison Soudage Wear Plate V100. The unique structure of Bison Soudage V100 Abrasion-Resistant Wear Plates consists of primary chromium carbides in a eutectic matrix with eutectic chromium carbides. Low dilution with the base material, reduced temperature input, combined with our high-alloyed powder, results in a unique structure.
